Summer festivals and farmers markets are my favorite way to spend a weekend in the city.
Add an outdoor festival and a farmers market to your itinerary this month, both events are a great way to experience the city.
Best June Events
Here are the best events and festivals to attend across Atlanta in June.
1. Virginia Highland Summer Fest
The 39th annual Virginia-Highland Summerfest is your chance to experience a quintessential Atlanta neighborhood festival.
When you arrive, walk through the historic Va-Hi downtown, try local food trucks, shop art, and soak up the community feels.
You can also catch live musical performances and live bands on the music stage at John Howell Park.
2. Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival
Join the Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival celebration at Piedmont Park.
This year’s celebration includes the Black History Parade, 5k Freedom Run, live performances, vendors, pageants, and much more.
3. Atlanta Summer Beer Fest
This boozy Atlanta summer event lets you sample 100+ unique beers (both local and out of town brews).
If you’re not a beer drinker, no problem. You can also grab mimosas, wines, and seltzers at the booths.
The festival takes place in Old Fourth Ward Skate Park with a beautiful view of Midtown.
4. Alpharetta Brew Moon Fest
Visit Downtown Alpharetta for the annual Brew Moon Fest.
You’ll get to enjoy live music by Chuck Martin and the Lineup, beers on tap, and local restaurants serving up favorite dishes.
For this event you can bring your own chair or purchase a table.
5. Midnight Market ATL
Midnight Market at Atlantic Station is a fun concept that you may have never experienced before.
This is an all night market geared towards foodies with 30+ food stalls and tons of small plate and sample options.
Dance and dine while enjoying multiple bars, a makers market, and VIP events.
6. Atlanta Fringe Festival
The Atlanta Fringe Festival is an artist-first experience bringing together live entertainment, theater, comedy, and storytelling in a collaborative atmosphere
Artists receive 100% of their box office, so you’re always supporting the performers.
7. Atlanta Farmers Market
June is a great time to find farmers markets in Atlanta.
This is one of my favorite weekend activities in the city.
I love exploring the food trucks, artists, and local farmers. There is always delicious food that you won’t find elsewhere, plus tons of fresh ingredients to take home.

Savannah Nights returns on select nights this summer.
June’s event will include live painting, live DJ performance, animal viewings, open bar, and much more.
Proceeds benefit animal conservation efforts by Zoo Atlanta.
9. Summer Party at Atlanta Botanical Garden
Celebrate Summer Solstice with the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Summer Party.
This stunning garden event is open for those 21+. The gardens come to life with glowing lanterns and live music.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is right next to Piedmont Park, and it is truly one of the most magical parts of the city (and one of my favorite places).

The family friendly Butterfly Festival celebrates the science and beauty of pollinators.
At the event you’ll learn from pollinator experts during the Butterfly Encounter, exploring the relationship between these winged creatures, the environment, and global communities.
