Hyatt Regency Orlando Review: Rooms, Amenities & 2026 Guide
This is my Hyatt Regency Orlando honest review. I stayed at the Hyatt Orlando in March 2026 for three nights. Here’s what you need to know before booking your stay at the hotel.
Bottom line: this is a good hotel with plenty of amenities. It is within 15 minutes of all Disney and Universal Parks. You’ll pay hotel prices for food. The pool and workout center tipped this over from average to recommend.

Key Amenities and Services
What you need to know – the hotel offers a long list of amenities: two outdoor pools, a full gym, spa, six restaurants, and a 24-hour market. There’s also a poolside bar, shaded seating, and plenty of space to relax. The gym is large and well-equipped, and the spa has a variety of treatments. The hotel is family-friendly and has easy access to International Drive and theme parks. In my experience, the staff were helpful and responsive for questions and check-in.
What I liked
- Large clean room, fairly updated.
- Very comfortable bed and bedding, like one of the best I’ve stayed in and I’m picky.
- Good food selection at market, but expect inflated hotel prices.
- Lots of shaded pool seating.
- Close to International Drive.
- Connected to Orange County Convention Center.
What I didn’t like
- No-frills location and views along International Drive, but this doesn’t matter unless you’re hanging out exclusively at the hotel.
- Restaurant prices felt high. I know that’s expected in hotels especially close to Disney, but the food wasn’t very standard and in my opinion overpriced.
Would I stay again?
Yes, if I was going to the parks this is a super convenient option and the rooms are comfortable. The bed is exactly want you want to crash out in after a day of roller coasters and walking.
The Room

I had a standard king bed room. The room opened with large bathroom to left and had lots of closet and storage space at mini bar and in bathroom.
In the bedroom area there was a king bed, love seat, dresser and desk.
My room was in Tower A overlooking the pool, but in other areas or Tower B the views are likely of the street or convention center. The hotel was last renovated in 2023, and I could see this most visibly in the bathroom (loved the back-lit mirror). I found out the Rocks bar and Descend 21 had also been renovated, and they both look new.
The Pools
The two outdoor pools were warm enough to swim and hang out in when I stayed in mid-March.
There’s only one hot tub and it’s small, so the night I tried to go in it was already super crowded.
You’ll get lots of shaded seating and places to relax around the pool. Coconut’s and Descend 21 are both next to the pool if you’re feeling thirsty.

The Gym and Spa
The Hyatt Regency Orlando gym is on the main level. I was able to get a full workout in without waiting for machines. All in all there are 4 rooms of equipment with everything from treadmills and Pelotons to weight racks and yoga mats.
The hotel hosts workout classes, and I saw yoga on the list which would be a lovely way to start the morning.
The bathrooms have showers, steam room, and lockers, plus space to get ready.
The spa is on ground level. Its described as a full-service spa – I browsed the menu and you’ll find a nice selection of massages and facial treatments.
One offer caught my eye – you can purchase all day access to steam rooms and hot tubs and just soak up the spa vibes.
But, since the gym also has a steam room, you can go there instead.

Hotel Restaurants and 24-Hour Market
The property has 6 restaurants:
- Fiorenza – Italian Steakhouse
- B-Line Diner – Classic American Diner
- Coconut’s Poolside Bar & Grill – Poolside fare
- Rocks Bar – Upscale hotel bar
- Icharo – Sushi
- Descend 21 – Classic bar to grab a drink and watch the game
There is also a 24 hour market I visited regularly for coffee and breakfasts.
I tried their coffee, iced green tea, and lattes. All high quality, expected as they serve Starbucks.

Connection to Orange County Convention Center
The Hyatt Regency Orlando is directly connected to the Orange County Convention Center. You can walk from the hotel to the convention center without stepping outside, which is a plus if you’re attending an event. This makes it one of the most convenient hotels for conferences or trade shows in Orlando. The connection is indoors and easy to navigate. If you’re in town for business like I was, this makes your stay hassle free. I do recommend getting outside for sunshine though because Orlando weather is lovely!
Airport Transportation and Shuttle Options
The Hyatt Regency Orlando does not offer a dedicated airport shuttle. I used Uber to get to and from the Orlando International Airport, and the ride took less than 20 minutes each way. If you prefer, the hotel can help arrange car service or rideshare pickups. There’s no free shuttle, but transportation is easy and reliable since you can use Uber and Lyft. There is onsite paid parking if you book a rental car.
Hotel Location
Hyatt Regency Orlando is 11 miles from the Orlando International Airport. I got to and from the airport in under 20 minutes with Uber.
You can venture across the street to shops and restaurants along Pointe Plaza Avenue for more dining options.
Universal and Disney Parks are all within an 11 mile radius with some much closer. Since I was visiting Orlando for work I didn’t go to the parks. But, I did visit Disney Springs one evening and the trip was very easy by Uber.
Usually I try to book one fun activity for work trips, and in retrospect I would have bought a Disney Park night pass. This is a pass that gets you into the park after hours when the lines are gone. It’s easiest to plan ahead and buy the ticket well in advance.
Do I Recommend Staying at the Hyatt Regency Orlando?
I recommend if you want accessibility to parks and onsite activities. The caveat is the price of restaurants on site, but I don’t know that it gets better elsewhere.
