This cozy spot is right above Helen Georgia, but tucked into the hillside, so it feels like it’s own little escape.

Helen is under 2 hours from Atlanta. It’s also a beautiful drive with cute coffee shops and antiquing along the way.

There’s a 65 acre old growth forest right in Atlan

There’s a 65 acre old growth forest right in Atlanta. Fernbank Forest is a nature preserve, part of the larger Fernbank Museum campus. We visited on a sunny June day, and it was a beautiful place for a walk. The paths are well maintained, and you can stop to read the trail side plaques about plants and forest history.

To visit, go through the main museum entrance and follow the signs 🌲 @fernbankmuseum

We signed up 2 days before and drove an hour to Sugar Hill, which gave us a chance to try a new race and see a new part of Georgia.

Fainting Goat Vineyards was the 3rd stop during our wine tour with @canawinetours

I visited the vineyard in April, and the weather was just warm enough to enjoy our glasses of wine on the lawn.

Exploring North Georgia wine country with Cana Wine Tours.

A dear friend arranged this tour for my bachelorette party, and it was such a great time.

Our driver picked us up right from our Airbnb and took us to three unique wineries we picked out ahead of time.

Each winery had its own distinct character and flavors. We had a blast trying different wines and relaxing in the peaceful mountain air.
